Serve alongside our partner organization, the Wade Center, by working the after-school program for elementary students. Plan and teach three afternoons of faith-based, Christmas related activities to help spread the good news of Jesus at the Wade Center.  In partnership with Maple View Church in Bluefield, WV, serve families through Bay Area’s annual Gifts for Children program. The team will assist with distribution of gifts to families on Saturday and will do various service projects within the community during the week, before working with the children after school.  This winter trip is a great way to take a first step into serving our global partners.

Join us in Belize as we partner with local believers through a construction project in Roaring Creek. Over the years our teams have built homes for families in need, special needs classrooms and many more projects that help students and their families in Roaring Creek. Beyond construction, we will worship alongside Belizean Christians, serve families experiencing poverty, pray with community members, and build relationships with local churches and ministries. If you enjoy hands-on service, construction, and connecting with people from another culture, this is a great opportunity to serve.

Serve alongside the Wade Center’s summer program, a day camp serving children in the Bluefield, WV community. Our team will help lead activities throughout the week, including Bible lessons, games, crafts, sports, and special events designed to encourage students and share the love of Jesus. The Wade Center serves children and families experiencing significant challenges by providing a safe environment where students can learn, grow, receive meals, and experience Christ’s love through caring relationships. Team members will have the opportunity to invest in students through teaching, encouragement, and discipleship.

Join other young adults in serving alongside our global partners, Gideon and Joy Banda, in Kenya. This team is designed for those in college or the early stages of their careers who desire to grow in faith, develop leadership skills, and experience cross-cultural ministry. Participants can expect to serve through practical projects, lead Vacation Bible School activities, share testimonies, participate in prayer walking, and engage in evangelism and outreach.

This trip is an opportunity for young adults to step into God’s mission, build relationships
across cultures, and discover how God can use them wherever He sends them.

For: Families, students, athletes, and those interested in sports ministry/community outreach

Join us in the Dominican Republic as we partner with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to share the love of Jesus through relationships, sports, and community investment.

Depending on the makeup of the team, we may use baseball as a ministry tool to connect with local athletes and families. This is a unique opportunity for high school students who love baseball and want to use their passion to serve God’s mission.

Our team will also help develop a community center connected to FCA’s baseball field, investing in the neighborhood and strengthening relationships with families who live there. Through practical service and intentional relationships, we hope to demonstrate the love of Jesus.

This student team will partner with “Hearts of Christ” a local ministry that provides sponsorship and support for children attending school. Students will help lead a Vacation Bible School program, build relationships with children, distribute food to families in need, and pray with members of the community.

Belize is a great place for students experiencing their first international mission trip because English is widely spoken and there are many opportunities to build meaningful relationships across cultures.

This team is designed specifically for Bay Area Student Ministry students and approved trip leaders. Because the experience is intentionally structured around student discipleship, participation is limited to students and team leaders. Families or adults looking to serve together are encouraged to consider one of our other family-friendly mission opportunities.

Join our second year to send a Bay Area team to Peru as we partner with John and Abi Thompson and the Union Church of Lima. Our team will spend mornings visiting strategic ministry partners throughout Lima, including ministries serving women recently released from prison and other under-resourced communities. In the afternoons, we will serve alongside the International Christian School connected with the church through an after-school program.

This trip will help Bay Area explore future partnership opportunities while sharing the love of Jesus through relationships, service, and encouragement.

Join our global partner Francisco Puente and his church as they share the hope of Jesus in Spain.

This team provides an opportunity to learn about discipleship and ministry in a post-Christian context while experiencing what God is doing through His church outside the United States. Spain’s proximity to north Africa also offer an opportunity for this team to experience ministry to Muslims.

Participants will gain practical experience sharing the gospel, develop a deeper understanding of global ministry, and return home with a renewed vision for living on mission every day.

Serve alongside our partner organization, the Wade Center, by investing in children and families in Bluefield, West Virginia. Our team will help lead the Wade Center’s after-school program by creating and teaching faith-based Christmas activities that share the hope of Jesus with elementary students.

In partnership with Maple View Church, we will also serve families through Bay Area’s annual Gifts for Children program by helping distribute gifts and encourage families in the community. This opportunity is designed for those who have previous cross-cultural mission experience and a desire to serve alongside ministry partners reaching people in Indonesia, the largest Muslim-majority country in the world. Because of the sensitive nature of this ministry, details about the location and specific activities will be shared with interested participants through conversations with Global Missions Staff.
