FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Extravagant Generosity.

Welcome! Perhaps you are visiting our resources after hearing Greg’s message from Vision Sunday. Or maybe you are looking for resources and help with your finances. One of our core values at Bay Area Community Church is extravagant generosity. It’s our vision that every person who calls our church home would be continually growing in generous giving of our time, abilities, and resources. God demonstrated His extravagant generosity toward us in the gift of Jesus, and we want to respond to His generosity by giving back to Him with grateful hearts.
"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:8

Begin your journey of generosity today!

Through these three short teaching videos, it’s our hope that you will gain an understanding of biblical generosity, learn the basics of managing your finances, and discover the joy of giving back to God.
PHILOSOPHY OF GENEROSITY
Here at Bay Area, we hold two primary beliefs about giving: God owns it, I steward it, and GIVE-SAVE-LIVE. In this video, Generosity Director Meredith Thompson unpacks these foundational giving principals.
JOURNEY OF GENEROSITY
When it comes to giving back to God, there are many questions: How should I give? To what do I give? How much should I give? In this video, Lead Pastor Greg St. Cyr provides insight into these questions and more.
GOOD STEWARDS
If we want to be generous givers, we have to start by being good managers of our money. In this video, Elder Bill Smith provides helpful tools for budgeting, eliminating debt, and reducing spending.

Generosity Roadmap

Welcome to Bay Area’s Generosity Pathway! All of us are on a journey as we learn to manage our finances in a way that honors God, and give back to Him to partner in the Kingdom work He is doing around the world. This tool is designed to help you discover where you are in your personal journey of stewardship and provide a road map for growth. Giving is not about an amount; it’s about being obedient to what God is asking us to do. Whether you’ve never given anything to a church before or are a longtime regular giver, we encourage you to consider what next steps God would have you take along your own journey of generosity.
