REBEKAH & FRANCISCO PUENTE
SEVILLE, SPAIN
Rebekah and Francisco moved to Seville in January 2012. Both grew up in Christian homes and became believers at an early age. The couple met during their freshman year of college and got married in 2007, confident that the Lord was leading them to serve in Spain. Shortly after their wedding, Francisco graduated, and they began fundraising to support church planting efforts in Spain. The Puentes have four children—Sara, Lucas, Hugo, and Nora—three of whom were born in Spain.
MISSION:
The Puente's mission is to participate in the spread of the gospel through church planting across Spain. They are deeply committed to Iglesia Bautista Fe, where Francisco serves as one of the pastors. Their ministry places a strong emphasis on leadership development through two key initiatives: The Sevilla Plan and Pastor’s School. The Sevilla Plan is a full-time pastoral residency designed for those called to church planting, providing hands-on experience and mentorship. Pastor’s School serves as a seminary for both current and aspiring pastors throughout Spain, equipping them with biblical training and practical ministry skills. In addition to these programs, the Puentes actively oversee and support church planting efforts in their region. Currently, they are assisting two church plants—one in the city of Huelva and another in the town of Bollullos—helping to establish gospel-centered communities.
