2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
God’s Word is central to our discipleship journey. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to us, and by this living, powerful Word the lost are found and believers are formed into the image of Jesus. We don’t just study the Word for information, we seek the transformation it brings. It also provides a lens through which we view the world, knowing the truth on which to rest. When we study God’s Word personally and with others, we can expect to grow in wisdom, knowledge, righteousness and discernment.

- Take notes during a Sunday sermon, highlight a key takeaway, and share it with a friend over lunch
- Learn how to read the Bible and practice this daily
- Set aside daily time to read God’s Word using Chapter a Day
- Memorize a passage of scripture
- Join a men or women’s Bible study
- Teach others’ God’s Word by becoming a Bible Study facilitator or Community Group leader
