BAY AREA STUDENT MINISTRY

ANNAPOLIS

WELCOME TO BAY AREA’S STUDENT MINISTRY.

Our goal is to empower students, 6th grade through 12th grade, to become disciples of Jesus who take their faith beyond our church walls and beyond their high school graduation.

We seek to accomplish this by encouraging students to develop a personal relationship with God, creating environments where they can build Christ-centered relationships with fellow students and caring adults, and helping them discover God’s calling for their lives to impact their spheres of influence. Real-world teaching, worship, relational activities, caring outreach and a whole lot of fun are just some of the elements students will experience as part of what God is doing within our student ministry.

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP SUCH PASSION FOR JESUS AND COMPASSION FOR OTHERS THAT THEY DON’T GRADUATE FROM THEIR FAITH WHEN THEY GRADUATE FROM OUR MINISTRY.

OUR MINISTRY STRATEGY WOULD BE TO PROVIDE EACH STUDENT WITH A PERSON, PLACE AND PLAN.

PERSON
We desire that every student who enters our doors would be known by a safe, caring, trained adult leader.  These leaders serve as mentors, helping students make good, godly decisions. In addition, these leaders are secondary voices in the lives of students; reinforcing the words of a student’s primary influencer – the parent.
PLACE
We want to create places and events where students are known and can know others in safe, welcoming and fun environments.  When all of these elements are at work, a student can best receive the life-changing power of God’s Word.
PLAN
We want students to understand that God loves them, and has a plan for how they can spend eternity in Heaven with Him.  In addition, we want students to know that God also has a plan for how He wants them to spend their lives here on Earth.  It’s an exciting, special, and specific plan that is waiting to be discovered.

AMPLIFY

NOVEMBER THROUGH MAY
We will move inside beginning on November 4, 2020. Middle School and High School students are invited to join us every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at The Warehouse. Groups will be socially distant and masks will be required. Each small group will meet in assigned spaces throughout the building and discuss Sunday’s message. There will be NO AMPLIFY on November 25th and December 23rd and 30th.

6:30 - 7 P.M.
A rolling start time offers students time to run home from school and sports before coming to Amplify. Students are able to hangout before small groups begin.

7:00 - 8:00 P.M.
There will be a 2-3 minute recap of Sunday’s message before students head to  grade and gender specific Community Groups outside. (There will be an opportunity for groups that end early to hang out for more relational time.)
