Welcome to Kent Island
We are setting sail for new waters! Bay Area is launching a new campus on Kent Island, and our mission remains the same: to make passionate, maturing followers of Jesus.
Much like the pioneers who established Maryland’s first settlement on Kent Island in 1631, we are planting a new mission outpost—not just for convenience, but as a lighthouse of hope for the Eastern Shore. Jesus called us to be fishers of men (Matthew 4:19), and we believe this campus will be a place where people encounter His life-transforming love. Right now, we are laying the foundation—securing a building, raising support, and searching for the right Campus Pastor to shepherd this new faith family. Already, over 30 Kent Island families have stepped up to invest in this mission, and we are trusting God to provide the remaining support we need. As we prepare to launch, we invite you to be part of this journey!

Why is Bay Area launching a campus on Kent Island?
Bay Area exists to make passionate, maturing followers of Jesus, and we believe God is calling us to expand our reach beyond Annapolis. This campus will serve as a local mission outpost, providing a place for worship, discipleship, and local outreach.
What will a Sunday gathering at the Kent Island campus look like?
The Kent Island campus will offer a full Sunday worship experience, including live worship, biblical teaching, and Kids Ministry. Teaching will primarily be through video messages from our Lead Pastor Greg or Teaching Pastor Aaron Hixson, with live elements led by the campus pastor and worship team. Several times throughout the year, there will be live preaching from the Kent Island campus.
How can I be part of the Kent Island launch team?
We need passionate people to help build this new campus from the ground up! You can join the launch team by serving in areas like Children’s Ministry, Hospitality, Worship, and Production. Click here to join a serving team or learn more!

When and where will the Kent Island campus launch?
We are actively preparing to launch at 155 Sallit Drive right off Business Parkway. The building is near PRS Guitars and Terrapin Park. The exact date will depend on finalizing our building preparations and hiring a campus pastor. Stay tuned for updates! We hope to have a more concrete timeline soon.
How can I support the Kent Island campus?
You can pray, give, and go! We need prayer for our campus pastor search, building logistics, and launch team. You can also give financially to help fund this mission or commit to attending and serving at the new campus.
