Dreaming Of A White Christmas

The Christmas season is upon us, and with it comes the hope of a white Christmas. A perfect, peaceful anxiety-free experience. We all have a picture of this Good Life, and we frantically try to manufacture it. We run around "stapling snow" onto our lives: trying to control our schedules, budgets, family dynamics, and expectations, hoping to secure that feeling of peace. We often find that the harder we try to control our circumstances, the more anxiety takes hold.
