Week 1: Love, In Response

What is God’s heart? That’s the question I’m asking as I watch the news, listen to interviews, and discuss with Black and African-American pastors and friends. I’m in a mode of lamenting, listening and learning. One thing I know for sure: God’s heart is for righteousness and justice. If I had one word to describe His heart, it would be “love.” It’s a love that is moved with compassion and grounded in the truth of the gospel. We are excited that many will be joining us at the Annapolis and Easton campuses this Sunday, and look forward to communing with those watching online as well. Together we will begin to explore how we, as followers of Jesus, are to model our life after the One who has never even had a racist thought.
