Wisdom From Proverbs: Week 3

Jul 19, 2020    Bobby Larew

As we read Proverbs 16:9 we should realize that our plans may be in tension with God’s plans. Ultimately real wisdom in living comes when we release our plans and seek God’s direction. In the story of Esther we see a woman who finds herself in a unique position with the ability to help her people but she hesitates, not sure if she should take action until her relative Mordecai challenges her with one of the most well-known verses in Esther: Esther 4:14. Mordecai suggests that maybe she had come to the royal throne “for such a time as this.” Will we set aside our fears, our frustrations, and our plans so we can ask God what "Esther moments" he has planned for us today? Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, you are where you are “for such a time as this?” Join us this Sunday as we start asking God what our next steps are.
