Week 3: The Unreasonable Pathway

Wow – if Jesus was trying to gain disciples you would think He would have offered something more appealing than “deny yourself” and “take up your cross daily.” Didn’t He realize that probably won’t sell among the masses? Couldn’t Jesus have been a little more reasonable – like deny yourself on Sunday mornings, and take up your cross once in a while? Why would we want to follow Jesus if these are His conditions? In this message we’ll explore these questions as we dive into Luke 9:23-24 and continue along the pathway to discipleship.
