JESUS IS
We've looked at Luke's research, now it's time to investigate on our own.
WHO BAY AREA SAYS JESUS IS
We believe Jesus Christ is God incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, completely God and completely man. We believe in His pre-existence, His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the grave, His ascension into heaven, and His bodily return from heaven.

WHAT LUKE SAYS ABOUT JESUS
Luke was a physician in the first century and a close friend of Paul (who was responsible for writing 2/3 of the New Testament and arguably the most influential leader in the early church) who set out to compile a biography of Jesus of Nazareth for his friend Theophilus who was exploring faith in Christ. We are in a series called The Anatomy of A Savior exploring Luke's findings and you can follow along with our Anatomy of a Savior series here.

BEGIN YOUR INVESTIGATION
Spend daily time in God's Word by following along with our Chapter A Day Bible-reading tool! Not sure how to begin reading scripture? We have a resource for that too.
Bible Project is a great resource for gaining a deeper understanding of what's going on in the Bible - what the biblical authors' intent was and who they were writing to. They have brief illustrated videos for each book of the Bible (here are their part 1 and part 2 videos on Luke), as well as topical videos on common biblical themes (such as hope, justice and redemption).
We've only just begun our Anatomy of a Savior series, and there's so much we'll be diving into! We encourage you to continue coming back each week as we learn more about the life and ministry of Jesus.
Join us May 5 as we host our "Ask Us Anything" Q&A event! Click here for more event details!

SHARE YOUR FINDINGS
"but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect" 1 Peter 3:15
For many of us who have been walking with Jesus for some time, we may not need convincing of who He is. If that is you, consider using this page as a way of reminding yourself of that truth and then taking a step of faith to share it with others. Following Jesus is a lifelong journey and His Word is living and active, so the more we engage with it the more we grow in Christlikeness.
