Welcome To Bay Area Connect Groups!

Connect Groups are a taste of Missional Community life at Bay Area. They are the main vehicle to get you into a Missional  Community. They meet for 8 weeks, after which the group may form a new Missional Community or get placed to existing Missional Community throughout Anne Arundel County. Listed below are our current Connect Groups that are updated frequently. If you're unable to join one of the groups listed below, please check back soon for more opportunities to get in community!

What is a Connect Group?

A Connect Group (CG) is a temporary community that connects people at Bay Area into long-term discipleship communities. A CG is an introduction to what a discipleship community is like at Bay Area. A CG meets for 8 consecutive weeks and follows a curriculum to discuss key values of community at Bay Area. The goal of the CG is to help people get connected in a long term discipleship community, whether a Missional Community, or a Bible Study in Women’s & Men’s Ministries.

Who can lead a Connect Group?

Anyone who loves Jesus, attends Bay Area regularly, and who wants to help others get connected within Bay Area, can lead a Connect Group. Go here to find out more information about leading a Connect Group.

What is the difference between a Missional Community and a Connect Group?

A Missional Community (MC) is an ongoing community group which enables people to grow in loving God back, loving each other and loving their neighbors. A Connect Group (CG) is a temporary 8-week introduction to community at Bay Area.
