Pilot Community Groups are a taste of Community Group life at Bay Area. They are the main vehicle to get you into a Community Group. They meet for 8 weeks, after which the group may form a new Community Group or get placed to existing Community Group throughout Anne Arundel County. What is a Pilot Community Group?

A Pilot Community Group (PCG) is a temporary community that connects people at Bay Area into long-term discipleship communities. A PCG is an introduction to what a discipleship community is like at Bay Area. A CG meets for 8 consecutive weeks and follows a curriculum to discuss key values of community at Bay Area. The goal of the PCG is to help people get connected in a long term discipleship community, whether a Community Group, or a Bible Study in Women’s & Men’s Ministries.

Who can lead a Pilot Community Group?

Anyone who loves Jesus, attends Bay Area regularly and who wants to help others get connected within Bay Area can lead a Pilot Community Group. Go here to find out more information about leading a Pilot Community Group.

What is the difference between a Community Group and a Pilot Community Group?

A Community Group (CG) is an ongoing community group which enables people to grow in loving God back, loving each other and loving their neighbors. A Pilot Community Group (PCG) is a temporary 8-week introduction to community at Bay Area.
